I wanted to love these but find that they just aren't very functional as a lunch bag.

As I LOVE the Envirosax shopping bags I was really excited to get one of the lunch bags. I must say, I'm rather disappointed as I think they are too small to be very useful. Plastic storage containers aren't going to fit in these bags unless they are very small, and even then, there's not much room for anything else. While the sides of the bag are gusseted, the bottom is not. These bags would have been much more useful if they had been designed with a little less height and a little more width. I'm sorry to say, they just aren't very functional for the stated use.

Don't base your opinion about the Envirosax product line on this item. The full sized shopping bags are wonderful - especially if you can get a good deal on a set of them. The quality of materials for the lunch bag is as good as the full sized shoppers, it's just that the design was poorly executed - at least for the American audience as our typical food storage containers aren't going to work with these very well.

Laying flat, the bag measures right around 8" wide and 8.5" tall (not including the handles). A couple of extra inches in width would have made a HUGE difference.

Darn it.

Nice little sack

Another reviewer wrote the bag is a little small for lunch. I'd have to agree with that however I think it's a wonderful little sack anyway! It has a little pocket pouch in one side. I have two and have been using one of them lately as a little purse. It has held up very well.
